Poem by Elder Tonks and Elder Mlazgar

The Mission Life
By Elder Tonks and Elder Mlazgar

I'm a missionary, it's what I'm to be
The missionary life, is the life for me.
Teachin' people by day, and prayin' by night,
The missionary life is super tight.
We're at the MTC, we're here for 9 weeks,
We're preparing to teach, those people who seek.
Our plane is ready, we're off to the field,
So never forget, the Spirit's your shield.
Everyday is a challenge, but we have no fear,
As long as we trust, that the Lord is near.
Then the time will come, when two years have passed,
And you will be wishing, that it hadn't gone so fast.
So be faithful, work hard, and do your best,
But when you return, there's no time for rest.
Missionaries you are, and will always be,
Remember that forever, because Salvation's not free
