Time just keeps rolling on...

Nathan (Elder Mlazgar II) came home for surgery on his back in June. His procedure to fix a herniated disc in his lower lumbar was a success. Now he has to get through physical therapy and head back out into the mission field. We think probably around the first week in September.

Seth (Elder Mlazgar III) got his mission call. It was very exciting and a little confusing at first when he read his letter and the first thing out of his mouth was Florida! All I could think of was really? Could they possibly be assigned to the same mission? But no, Seth is going to Jacksonville Florida. (Nate of course is Tampa.) He will be speaking Spanish and will report to the Mexico MTC September 4th.

So right now things are a little crazy at my house...preparing to go...preparing to go back. It will be mighty quiet all of a sudden when they both leave. I will have my daughter (13) and son (11) left at home.

How do you make meals for just 4 anyway?????

Only home since February and already married. In fact he's been married for almost a month now!! That is more story than I have time to write, but we love his wife and grateful for their new forever family they created in the Mesa Temple. You know if you've seen my blog, I don' t get the picture formatting thing, but here are a few...

From Fort Meyers to Clearwater

The weather so far has been fantastic. We`ve had almost no rain at all so far (though that won’t continue much longer) and the lowest temp we ever got was like 55. Usually it`s in the mid to low 80`s. However the culture thing hasn`t been to bad. Where I`m currently at is a lot like home – except there aren`t any mountains or even hills anywhere here. In some places it`s even below sea level. I have to pretend that the clouds in the distance are my mountains. From what I hear though the further north you go the more south you get.

Since going into the MTC I`ve read the Book of Mormon(BOM) 3 times and am going through it a chapter a day again now as well. I have also read all of D&C and the PoGP and the NT and am now going through the OT a chapter a day as well. Amazing just how much everything makes sense and fits together after you`ve read through it all. I`ve also been reading through Jesus the Christ which is another phenomenal book that I would highly recommend if you haven`t read it yet.

I`ve been out only 5 months now and learned more probably than I would have in my entire life time. There is no substitute for what this brings. My favorite conference talks were by Elder Craig A Cardon in the morning session on Saturday, The Elder David A Bednar talk on Saturday evening, the Elder David A Beck talk from Priesthood Session, As well as Elder Holland, Hales, President Uchtdorf, and President Monson from Sunday.

I`ve been transferred up to an area called Clearwater. It`s in the St. Pete area. The new area is awesome:) I love the people here a lot:) They are just as great as the ones back home. There are some families here that I already especially like. I've had jokes of all sorts played on me and lots of crazy stuff! :) My comp is really cool as well. We get along well and work hard!! :) The car situation is still the same, yes, except they`ve already used most of the miles so far for this month so we won’t be using it much until week 2 of May. Means lots of bike riding. The living conditions are much better than my last area and I’m getting along well. I Love You Mom:)

Nathan email 04/01/2013

Here is the best email I have ever gotten from Nathan. Most the time I'm lucky if I get more than a sentence or two. I put a few comments of my own in italics so you can tell what he is referring to.

Also, Dane Chaffee from our ward has an aunt in Nathan's area. He told me yesterday that the members there love Nate and that he is a great missionary. That did my heart good!

Please, did you really think that you could keep me from bringing at least one pair of my favorite socks with me? No I only have one pair and I only wear them every now and again. (He sometimes wears his purple baseball socks to church. He did that before his mission. It didn’t matter how many black socks I would buy him, he still managed to only find his purple socks.)

Wait a second… back up here… AJ is doing WHAT already? Is that a joke or for realness? (AJ got engaged over Easter weekend.) Please do make sure Brett Judd e-mails me. I`d love to hear from him. (Brett from our ward enters the MTC April 10^th.) My conference plans are to sit at the church all day and watch conference - then go out to lunch and dinner haha :) And I don’t know all the details yet cause I haven`t been through it yet.

Basically the whole thing with Elder Anderson (from the Quorum of the Twelve) was he was here calling a new Stake Prez and spent his Monday for like 3 hours with us. If you want to know what he talked about just read the scriptures. It`s all there in black and white plainness as plain as can be ;P

Crap I`m running low on time again. These stupid library computers stink so much. We used to use the church computers but we don't any more. Anyway, Elder Anderson spoke mostly nothing different than what’s been taught since the days of Adam. The spirit that emanates from him delivers his message with so much power though that it was bringing us all to tears. Most all of us cried when he had to leave because we didn`t want him to leave. Yes that does include me:)
